Freedom Ranger broiler chickens are raised on pasture at Rise and Shine Farm. For the highest quality chicken, our chickens are raised outside, with mobile chicken tractors to protect from predators, with fresh air and sunshine 24/7. They are allowed to forage and peck and scratch for bugs and are provided certified, non-GMO, soy free, organic feed that is raised without pesticides or fertilizers. Pasture-raised chickens offer a leaner, tastier meat containing more Omega-3 fatty acids and less overall fat than commercially raised chickens. The flavor of the Freedom Ranger chickens is overall a more dark meat flavor when compared to Cornish Cross.
